Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” My dear friends, Happy World Freedom Day! This holiday was started in 2001 to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of communist rule there. While this was a great day for freedom, we know there is an even greater one. On that day, Christ broke the shackles of sin when He voluntarily humbled Himself to become a man—living a perfect life and dying on the cross for the sin of us all. Through trusting in Him alone, we are freed from the bondage of our wrongdoings and live a new life as children of God. And what should we do with this freedom? Well, we should follow Jesus’ example! Let us put aside our own selfish desires and instead look to love and serve others. And one of the best ways we can do that is by sharing God’s grace and freedom found in Jesus with them.
