The privacy of our users and donors is important to us, so we want you to know how we collect, store, and use your personal information. How Information Is Collected

We obtain and collect contact details and other personal information from a variety of sources, including:
·  When users request information or services or sign up for newsletters or events,
·  When donations are made online, by mail, or in person,
·  When you contact our organization for any other reason.
We may also purchase third-party marketing data and add it to our existing registered user database. We use this information to enhance or overlay the information we have already collected. We may store information that we collect to create and enhance our donor records. A record is stored information that we keep on users that details their preferences, engagement with our organization, and personal contact information.
Like most standard website servers, we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

How Information Is Used

We have a legitimate interest in using your information to enhance your experience on our websites and offer information in which you may be interested. We also have a legitimate interest in using donor information to contact donors about their gifts and about the work our organization is doing.
 
We or our trusted partners use personally identifiable information collected in connection with donations for billing purposes, to process donations, to contact the user if we have trouble processing a donation, and for our donor records.
 
We will not use personally identifiable information for purposes other than those covered by the respective lawful bases on which the data is processed. We will not sell or otherwise share donor personal information with non-EEI affiliated/contract organizations, nor will we send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or a legal process.
 
We may partner with other third parties to provide specific services to our organization. Under these circumstances, we may share names or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These third parties are not allowed to process personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Security

We take great efforts to ensure the personally identifiable information of our donors is protected both online and offline. We require any third parties working with us to encrypt any stored information we share with them. We restrict access to personal information on a need-to-know basis to our employees and subject contractors and other agents working with us to confidentiality agreements. The servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment.

Policy Changes

If we change our privacy policy, we will post those changes in appropriate places so that our users remain aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
